The Communal Facilities Block has Ladies and Gents bathrooms with toilets and showers. There are also two unisex toilets. The disabled bathroom has recently been refurbished and can be used as a family bathroom by guests with small children. A baby bath is also available. A telephone is available for guest use. The Facilities block also has a laundry and kitchen. The Laundry has washing machines, tumble dryer and fridge / freezers. Rotary dryers, (washing lines), clothes pegs, laundry baskets, an iron and ironing board are supplied for guest use.
The fully equipped kitchen; has everything you need to prepare, cook and serve a meal. We have plates, bowls, cutlery, sharp knives, utensils, saucepans, baking trays, ovenproof dishes and serving bowls. Kitchen equipment includes an electric cooker, 2 gas hobs, jugs/kettles, toasters, microwaves, even a bread maker ! Fridge / freezers are available in both the kitchen and laundry.
Our on-site shop sells soft drinks/soda, washing powder, toiletries, matches, small quantities of tea, coffee, sugar and milk, phone cards and Wi-Fi vouchers.
Our own filtered bore water. (Tastes great, please consider helping the planet and your wallet by not buying bottled water). – Guests are welcome to top up their water bottles / tanks and wash vehicles. We also have a vacuum cleaner for guests to use.
Grey water waste disposal. We do not have a dump station but can direct you to the nearest one at New World supermarket car park in Motueka.
We try to do our bit for the local environment; guests are encouraged to recycle cans, glass, plastic, paper and cardboard. For every item which is recycled, we make a donation to “Friends of Flora”; a local charity which is working to safeguard native kiwi in the Mount Arthur area. Rubbish bins are also supplied.
Outside of the peak season, we also have a food scraps bin. (Food scraps, used paper towels from the bathrooms, garden waste and locally sourced horse manure is used to make compost for the vegetable garden).
The children’s playground has swings and slides, a Fred Flintstone car and possibly the biggest trampoline in the world...!
With low levels of light pollution at night, we have incredibly starry skies.
